CCU Pediatric Leukemia

The most common childhood malignancy is acute lymphoblastic (lymphocytic) leukemia (ALL). While most children and adolescents have a good chance of cure thanks to modern treatment protocols, patients with recurrent T-ALL have a particularly poor prognosis. The Clinical Cooperation Unit (CCU) Pediatric Leukemia is therefore trying to answer the question of how the biology of T-ALL relapses explains the marked resistance to therapy at this difficult stage in the development of this type of leukemia.
