The KiTZ

For a childhood without cancer

In good hands with the KiTZ

Cancer – for affected children and their family this diagnosis invariably deals a heavy blow. But recovery rates are in most cases quite good: More than 80 percent of children and young adults in Germany who have been diagnosed with cancer can today be treated successfully. The prerequisite is age-appropriate and professional medical care. At the KiTZ, we offer comprehensive care for children and young adults with cancer and severe blood disorders, going well beyond just therapy.

Until the new KiTZ building has been completed, young patients will continue to receive outpatient and inpatient care by the Center for Childhood Diseases at the Heidelberg University Hospital. There, children, their parents, and their siblings have access to comprehensive care and consultation services.
