EU CAN KIDS

European Alliance for a Childhood without Cancer

EU CAN KIDS (formerly KiTZ-Máxima Twinning Program) is a unique strategic alliance of three leading European pediatric cancer centers: the Hopp Children's Cancer Center (KiTZ) in Heidelberg, the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht, the largest pediatric oncology center in Europe, and the French center of excellence Institut Curie in Paris.

Joint research and infrastructure projects are currently being funded, as well as clinical studies, cancer registries and training formats. As a result, the program accelerates European and global access to molecular tumor analyses and multidisciplinary studies and opens up new, tailored treatment options for patients across borders.

In the coming years, further European pediatric oncology centers will gradually be included in the collaboration in order to lay the foundations for sustainable European cooperation for a childhood without cancer. To this end, the three centers of excellence are joining forces in order to jointly advance childhood cancer research faster and more efficiently.
