For parents and siblings

To ensure that healthy siblings are also well cared for during the treatment of your sick child, the "Kinderplanet" daycare center has been in place at the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Heidelberg University Hospital since 1995. There, experienced educators and volunteers take care of siblings between the ages of 0-14. The "Kinderplanet" is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - even during the vacations.

The sponsor of the "Kinderplanet" is the parents' association "Deutsche Leukämie-Forschungshilfe (DLFH) - Aktion für krebskranke Kinder e.V. - Ortsverband Heidelberg". Under the chairmanship of Stefanie Baldes, the association is also involved in many ways for the families of children with cancer, e.g. with the construction and organization of overnight accommodation for parents, financing of the music therapist, parent massages and much more. In addition, the "Aktion für krebskranke Kinder e. V." supports research in the field of childhood leukemia and tumor diseases.
