iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) is the world’s largest competition in the field of synthetic biology and offers students the opportunity to independently develop and carry out research projects.
In addition to scientific research, great emphasis is placed on the dialogue between science and society. As part of this year’s project, the Heidelberg iGEM team is addressing the topics of health equity and patient empowerment. Against this backdrop, a panel discussion on the topic “Your Participation in Medicine and Research” will take place on July 9, at which KiTZ Director Stefan Pfister will also speak as a panelist.
Further information can be found in the event flyer (panel discussion will be in German).
